I let this one simmer a bit before trying to tackle it. I knew it was good stuff at first glance, but not so sure it belonged in the "great" category. If I'm writing this, then ig I've made up my mind. 1+3+1 is the amorphous child of a fateful encounter between jazz/musique concrete trio, Triosk and German techno pioneer Jan Jelinek. Damnnn this one was good. Here is my introduction to the world of Avant-Garde Jazz / Nu Jazz outfit Triosk and it had to be the collab album with Glitch / Electroacoustic / Microhouse artist Jan Jelinek because it really intrigued me and of course the genre tags as well.. And thankfully this ends up being a great Nu Jazz and Avant-Garde Jazz album with blends of Electroacoustic and Glitch and ECM Style Jazz.
