On Qliphoth, Cloud Rat extend tempestuous expressions for troubled times—proof of life, offered with utter conviction.

For a grindcore album 17 tracks of this length is like a lord of the rings book. So many amazing ideas and grooves laid down on here. Cloud Rat has the amazing abillity to hold your attention and show you new sides to a familiar sound that feels completely separate from any other bands. Fusing anger and instrumentation in a way that transcends so many boundaries.

Who said grindcore sounds always the same?

this record is the rule breaker, varied, artistic and absolutely aggressive.
At the same time, the melodic ideas make for a experimental yet emotionally felt journey.

In particular I loved Raccoon for its crescendo that ends up in pure noise bliss.
Daisies on the other hand sounds more sludge metal infused.
