In the world of country music today, you can very well say things have come crashing and you wouldn’t be wrong, at least from a surface point of view. The country genre, in the mainstream tries desperately to be Pop. With the trap drums and then this somewhat niched singing about trucks, partying etc. This isn’t anything new as this was the bedrock of country of the 2010s – country-pop.

A nice blend of Americana, country rock, and a sprinkle of alt rock, Morgan Wade's debut album also showcases the artist's soulful, raw, and emotionally honest lyrics. And there is something so enticing about the way she delivers her lines that it draws you in and never lets go until the final song. You really can't go wrong with this album, as every track has something to offer in terms of quality lyricism and musicianship. I'm feeling a solid to a strong 8 on this one.
