There’s something special about NewDad and their debut EP Waves. Everything from their dreamy, nostalgic sound to the utterly beautiful album art has a shimmer to it - an echo from the massive possibilities of what's to come from this band. It’s hard to believe this is their first big release, as they have the vibe of a band who’ve been working for a very long time. Recently, I was in the mood for some dream pop, so I decided to use the Genres feature on this site, and filtered out all the dream pop albums that were released this year. Not many dream pop core albums had been released this year, so this album came up as one of the top searches even though this EP isn't all that popular (currently standing at 17 user ratings). And I'm glad I did that cuz this album is great.
