Quincy Jones was an absolute chad for helping Tamia launch her musical career.
She is underrated af, I absolutely love her voice. Her vocal abilities and her contemporary R&B image remind me so much of Mariah Carey, who I admire a lot, and Tamia has a talent that's nearly as impressive. Her self-titled debut is beautiful and majestically produced, really sweet and calming.
Only a person like her could cover "Careless Whisper" and make it just as amazing as the original.

often left out of the many conversations involving Aaliyah, Brandy, Monica, TLC, and Destiny’s Child, etc, “Tamia” positions itself firmly alongside each and is just as hook-plenty, fluttering, and vocally lightweight in it’s admirable highs, lows, and in-betweens of romance as any that came before or after.
