It's a mixed bag. This album has a lot of really fun moments, and these vocals are just so amazingly crushing. But there's a lot of... questionable choices for the instrumentation here. Mainly the guitar solos. I guess they aren't awful. But they mess with the pacing of the song so much just to be so incredibly mediocre. They don't fit the songs at all. It's like some random guy walked into the studio with a guitar, no clue what the song was, and started playing.

A Death Metal album with some prog and nu metal influences, very fun. The album opens with 4 very strong songs and 40 Stories is a hell of a track. Wes Hauch vocals are killer, didn't expect it at all. His riffs are also on point during the majority of the tracklist. It has his DNA all over the album. Some songs could've been better polished or maybe had a better climax moment but it surely is a fun album to listen to.
You could say this album... gave me a sarcoma *ba dum tiss*. No, seriously, this thing is awful. Edgelord lyrics, over half of the songs are essentially the same, and the vocal riffing is painful. The guy sounds like he's trying to rap over melo-death beats lol. I can give some respect for at least trying to throw some flavor in the core death metal sound by throwing in some Between the Buried and Me-inspired prog-metal stuff, but the songwriting hardly does it any favors.
