#af4e45 ends the subpixel rendering trilogy on a very nice note. it’s a very creative project that finds a way to turn something small, sweet, and simple into something large, noisy, and eerie.
what i liked: the idea of turning a simple ukulele riff into a long noise track is absolutely genius. and it was executed perfectly.
the closing track sounds very nice.
what i didn’t like: the opener, e, can get a bit obnoxious

Closing out the Subpixel Rendering EP trilogy is #af4e45, a 6 track, 16 minute continuation of the short sonic experimentations that began in December of 2020. This time, there appears to be a focus of loops and how they can be warped, layered and stretched into new ideas and sounds.
