About 10 years ago at this point, my uncle showed me and my sister the music video for Coldplay's "Paradise". I was a kid, and was fascinated with the video: this stuffed elephant suit man on an odd, fantastical adventure. Hey, this was a fun album!
I rarely listen to soundtracks, and even rarer game soundtracks, mainly because most soundtracks were constructed for the movie/game/show, and not to run cohesively as an album. At least by my tastes, Oranges & Lemons is a weird album; so much so, that on my first listen, I didn't like it at all. Its eccentric genre combinations paired with the vocalist's almost frantic delivery didn't sit with me right.
A listen or two later however, I realized that this "wierdness" is what makes the album enjoyable and unique. This is exemplified in goofy, eccentric songs like "Garden ... read more
