Richard D. James’ Discography #75: sys700
This EP is just 6 minutes of experimenting with the Roland System 700, and it actually sounds like Aphex Twin, albeit a very demo-sounding version of his music, instead of just random electronic sounds. The beats are relatively interesting, but the two tracks are just not that noteworthy. I can’t help but feel neutral towards “sys700.”
Aphex Twin dropped a series of short "EPs" during the Syro era in his career, sys700 happens to be one of those projects and you already know I had to cover it. Sys700 3 Pts is a track consisting of a whole lot of nothing, it feels funky and weird but that's about where my kind comments end with the track.
