Another beautiful album by Sheila Chandra. Mixing with that typical 80s sound with various genres that experiments with it while also adding some kind of indian or Hindustani classical music feeling. The track “Kashmir” was absolutely beautiful.
Monsoon are a band i meant to check out earlier, but their stuff wasn't on spotify and then my brain went dementia mode on them. Then it happened, on a not so glorious evening, someone uploaded a video of the band at top of the pops. My interest rose again and since they were on spotify now, i went for it.

Pretty amazing actually. It's very 80s with a lot of the synths and stuff (particularly the sound of pianos, very 80s British pop), but at times almost feels Cocteau Twins-esque, and of course, the main difference is that there are many elements of psychedelia and different parts of Indian traditional music.
