Numbers can be applauded as the mature nature and notably impressive songwriting displays progression from MellowHype's older riotous material
Numbers is a solid rap record, but MellowHype have shown themselves to be capable of more.
With Numbers, MellowHype manages to churn out a few decent beats, but the lyrical content and originality are more lacking than ever. It seems making an interesting hip hop record is not in MellowHype's career itinerary. Instead, portraying the forgettable fantasies of that "cool kid with a c average" is more important.
Some hooks are pretty weak, but overall, this album gives me the same feeling as their previous project, even though the beats are slightly better here.
Not understanding the 61 score here. This is what an Odd Future album should sound like.
Yeah this didn't age well, maybe I have that mindset that doesn't really understand the appeal of an album like this but yeah this is bad
