ICHILLIN's debut "GOT'YA" don't really what it takes to the group stand out among new girl groups, I don't know but lately, I'm finding myself between new girl groups that just makes a way too similar music, just like what started to happen with new boy groups in the last 2 years or so. Either these groups will make it by making the most trendy / commercial-ready music or by going for something different and taking risks with a less popular sound. Very slayful... crystal clear vocals, solid songwriting and decent production. But what makes it a real HIT... is the chorus - which is absolutely euphoric. It's weird because in every sense this song leans into "generic" territory but my god that chorus is just so strong that I can't help but keep playing. I will say the verses have a striking similarity to Weki Meki's 'Picky Picky', but that is okay!! Because that song is also good!!
I really got into ICHILLIN' in 2023 and fell in love with their sound. They deserve more in the industry, and this debut really shows off their fun sound. It's a really nice song and really stood out. I will say this does remind me of third gen, specifically Weki Meki and Oh My Girl. That's honestly a compliment since I love those groups. It's also incredibly catchy
