Alright, now we’re talking! Double Allergic was Powderfinger’s commercial breakthrough, and many Australian’s first impression of the band. Although the album still shares some of the grungey feel of its predecessor, the tracks on this album are a lot simpler in structure. I was a big Powderfinger/Bernard Fanning fan back in 2005-2007 so although this particular album wasn’t in rotation, I still feel a pretty strong emotional attachment hearing their signature sound and Fanning’s vocals which is hard to put into words. The mix of songs and silent gaps during the last track was weird though, I’d like to know other people’s thoughts on that.

This actually has a number of good tracks. JC is probably my favourite even though its not one of the more 'obvious' songs on here.
