CELESTE pull you in to their sonic world in a way that is just so compelling that one does not need to understand every detail upon first listen, but instead open their ears and mind and prepare to deep dive on the layered and intricate work in front of them.

Assassine(s) is heavy in a mulitiplicity of ways, but not in a way that threatens to rip a listener’s face off, rather peeling the skin from the bone slowly.

This is an ugly and uncompromising record, aimed squarely at the snarling nihilist in all of us.

Celeste come back after 5 years with some improved production and a more melodic and dense listen with Assassine(s) and continue their good form with it. It's dark, and one of their most passionate sounding albums to date and with such good progression and some many explosive and memorable moments and showcase how blackened atmospheric sludge metal can be an powerful genre.
