On Barbara, Lindsay touches on every point of the journey and sounds more whole than ever before.
Throughout Barbara, Barrie flits between the boldness of these sharp musical moments and a sort of reservedness that makes her hard to get a full grasp of. But she does have our attention.
On one hand, this album hasn’t taken sonic risk or new direction from Barrie’s debut. On the other hand, this record is sweet, easy listening and sharply produced.

Dreamy, poppy, soft and light like soft serve ice cream on a warm summer night. I was actually pretty preoccupied my first listen, but I was periodically pulled back into the album since I liked so many of the songs.
A lot of the reviews I'm seeing about this album are saying it's good but not as good as their first album? I guess I have to go listen to that now, but since this is their first project that I'm listening to, I think this is a really great stand-alone album.
