Drowned in Sound
How such a simple insistent riff has such power must be pure alchemy (or maybe they had copy of 'The Joshua Tree' on the tourbus). It may be the accepted thing to indulge in a bit of tall, poppy trimming, but whilst Coldplay are still making records as great as this, it seems churlish to expect that.
