On my first listen, aspects like Bonnie Bramlett’s backing vocals and the brass instruments threw me off as I was expecting something more similar to Cream or Derek and the Dominos.

Clapton only made one stone cold great album and that was 'Layla...' this though may be his second best he dropped the blues in a bag and tried on some pop sheen mixed with rolling rock and even folky funk.
