If you can get over the different direction and at times slightly dated sound, this album is really something special and the hidden gem of MJ’s discog (well about as hidden as a Michael Jackson record can be), the sheer amount of tracks as well as my initial surprise at the direction MJ took with this album meant it took a few listens to click, however this album has quickly become a favorite of mine in his catalog.

One of the best live albums of all time, Every performance has such an emotive and personal feel. In his grief Clapton now fully sober turned to the only other thing he knew, music and the blues and poured his entire soul into each of these performances.
Good tracks are real good, super long album with quite a bit of filler though, kinda tough to get fully through, I do appreciate that he tried a new sound here though and it’s not a bad final album

It’s fine… I was thinking “well it’s only their debut” but this seems to be their most acclaimed so… yeah idk. I can appreciate a lot of the guitar playing here even if it’s not the style I like personally however the album is full of painfully forgettable melodies leaving most songs feeling half baked or like filler
