You are in the Bowery, and the vibes are strung-out. To say the least. So strung-out in fact, that Martha Schwendener - the bass/keyboards half of Bowery Electric - can barely muster a whisper to inform us that "Words are just noise" on the title track.

Beat is Bowery Electric's sophomore album released in 1996. I got this recommendation I think over a month ago, and I've been pushing it ever since. The truth is that I didn't really know what to expect from this album, since I hadn't heard anything by Bowery Electric before, actually I doubt if I even knew them.

This album legitimately feels like space

This album is an experience. It truly is. I relate it closely to Beach House because both of those bands take you on a journey with their albums. The sound alone with this album does that. It is so mesmerizing, and absolutely beautiful. The grooves on this album are also amazing.
