The debut LP from the self-proclaimed "shoegore" band Raid aims towards a raw and unique sound, contrasting between pummeling death metal with shoegaze-inspired post-metal. It's heavy, intense and noisy throughout the whole record, but doesn't necessarily feel "too much" or monotone.

While not the most aggressive album I've heard this year, Raid manages to pull together a beautifully dark and avant garde deathcore album. I've legitimately never heard anything like this
