A year ago I listened to this and found it to be an unfortunate nasty take on a genre (space rock revival) I thought sounded best when it was making beautiful heavy soundscapes. I have now opened up my eyes and realized that this is the best Spacemen 3 x Jesus and Mary Chain collaboration that never happened and 56 minutes isn't enough dissonant repetition for me. Loop's best album, and for good reason. An absolutely aggressive, post-punk, shoegaze approach to their older sound. All of their previous records have culminated into one single album. right from the begining, "a glided eternity" showed me what they had to give, with the intro vapour, that showed a agressive, but that was somehow strangelly futuristic song with dreamy vocals i didn't expect from that type of song.
the album is a briliant mix of space rock and shoegaze that blends so well, but somehow i haven't seen more people doing it besides this band.
