Refresh

REFRESH is a weak spot in CLC's discography. It isn't particularly exciting nor does it have a true stand out track. Despite being the title track, "High Heels" is a bit of a strange track. It opens up in a great way, employing retro elements. Unfortunately, the song's transition into the chorus is a bit jarring and the melody isn't that interesting either. It comes off quite flat. This didn’t speak to me! I also was a little distracted while listening because there is construction happening in the office kitchenette right now, but I still don’t think I liked it anyway. High Heels is maybe the best song on here? I hadn’t liked it and then Refresh started playing and I thought to myself “I’d better go back and like it so I at least know I disliked it less than this one.” I couldn’t tell you much about the rest of the songs. ... read more
