Ironiclast is an impressive debut from a band who really shouldn’t be as good as they actually are. That being said, The Damned Things have crafted one of the most fun, energetic, and catchy Hard Rock albums of 2010, encompassing every excellent aspect of the genre from the past thirty years.
It's pretty solid, catchy hard rock that scratches that itch for me when I need it to. I always wanted to hear Keith Buckley do a full album with clean vocals, but I much prefer his ETID output.
"Ironiclast" is a cliche hard rock troupe delivered by a combination of Anthrax, Fall Out Boy and Every Time I Die. At times, their sound teeters between a nouveaux Black Sabbath and a thrash-heavy Avenged Sevenfold. Nothing special in this album--at all--but if this is your type of music, it's catchy enough to keep you entertained throughout. Be forewarned though, distinguishing songs can become tricky at points...

I really liked this! While you could say it’s derivative, I still really enjoyed it and found it catchy. My favorites were graverobber (track 9) and black heart (track 4), I found them to be the most catchy and graverobber had awesome lyrics/storytelling.
