Tighter, more consistent and still absolutely punishing, Heritage is an album that will turn more than a few heads in Distant's direction.
I only listen to this album because the cover is extremely badass, and I want to dive into subgenres of metal this year.
From what I'm hearing here, Heritage is a pretty solid project with a lot of complex sounds and just a tone of energy and anger that makes this project stand out. I'm not really into this project that much, but I can see why people like this project that much.
Despite being very heavy and full of passion, it's pretty generic and you kinda become numb to the constant growling and insane drums and guitar.
It gives me DOOM Eternal vibes, that's for sure, but I wish some songs weren't as long, and that it wasn't as compressed because at some points it sounds like shit. Regardless, it's over the top and doesn't take itself too seriously, but I wish it was a bit more concise.
70 -> 10
easily one of the worst deathcore albums i have heard in my entire life. this is so overblown with shitty production and STP-ish vocals i truly think this isn’t worth listening to. like no lie this sucks

Banger. All the tracks slaps your face. Very good album, brutal and one of the albums that got me on their discography. Distant is by far one of the greatest bands on the scene nowadays.
