'Quartet' is more of the same after '81s similarly disappointing 'Rage in Eden'; imagine early Pet Shop Boys' without the wit or the better tunes and that's pretty much where we are.
Ultravox are a band from the 80s who have some must listen stuff for that decade. Hate me all you want, but if you haven't heard Vienna yet claim to be an expert on 80s music, i will slam dunk you out of the window while singing All Star. Anyway, Vienna and the album it's on isn't what we're looking at today, i mainly said that to show you Ultravox is capable of greatness. Do they showcase said greatness here? Barely.
