Big Black still stuns, but it no longer surprises, and it's no wonder Durango split for law school and the band called it quits—at the height of its indie fame—on the eve of Fucking's release.
I appreciate how this album tinkers with sound design, guitars, and what you can or cant say on a record. but the drum processing and the execution of these songs brings them down more than id like to admit.
good album tho
