'Welcome Home' may be one of the best album openers of all time (I mean, it isn't TECHNICALLY the opener, but come ON). It's a song I've become very fond of lately, and I decided that I should probably listen to more works by King Diamond since I've really liked the few songs I have heard.

The riffs way be awesome but I just can't with the constant screeching. I laughed at it last time comparing it to Toad but that charm has long passed and I am just annoyed by it now. The awesome classic metal instrumental balanced it out to be a mediocre record.

King Diamond is my favorite heavy metal band. He can turn any day into Halloween. And today is Halloween, so I'm going to be spinning him a fuck ton now that I'm done with the releases for today. This is his second magnum opus, sometimes I even prefer it to abigail. They need to turn his stories into movies, I swear. (10/10)

Pretty fun record but at the end it kinda just melted together for me in terms of the sound

Although musically I think it's about the same quality as it's predecessor, "Abigail", the story being told here is fucking amazing, and alone pushes it to a 100 (unsurprising seeing as it's a concept album.)
