For Posterity is – for a pop-punk album at least – guitar-heavy and technically precise, yet accessible enough in its structure and approach that it feels inviting and easy to listen to.
The album should be a welcome addition to the collection of any fan of 90’s emo. The stomping choruses on offer will also win new friends among the fan-bases of their pop-punk loving labelmates.
A new favorite punk band of mine, Dryjacket pushes forward the "midwest emo" movement even while being based in the east coast. Each track stands alone and fits perfectly in the flow of the album.
The album doesn't have the stereotypical atonal raspy vocals that almost hurt to listen to. Rather, it has strong bari-tenor punk vocals that (while being in tune) make this album the high quality it is.
