Deftones is a band that appeal to average music listeners and people who reside on sites like that and enjoy all types of music. White Pony being the best of their very consistent discography, and probably the best of it's genre. As much as I love Tool, this might be even better than anything they've done themselves. I went through a long period where all I listened to was Deftones, Tool, and Mudvayne, and although Tool has a special place in my ... read more

I think I prefer the At The Drive-in over The Mars Volta overall. Although I appreciate the complexity of the Mars Volta's sound and lyrics, this album was pinnacle in my musical foundation. There was a stage where all I listened to was At the Drive-in, Bear vs. Shark, and La Dispute. Post-hardcore was definitely a favorite genre of mine in years past, and I still visit it a lot. This album I haven't returned to in a long while. As influential as it is, ... read more

D'Angelo is definitely a mood, not something I listen to often, but when the mood hits there's nothing like it. Some of the best Neo-Soul ever. Production is perfect as well. Not to mention it's hit after hit for its entire run-time, which is anything but short.

RYM #5 for 2000
AOTY #13 for 2000 (oof)

A clear step down from the Lonesome Crowded West, but arguably the second best record from indie rock legends Modest Mouse. One of my favorite indie rock artists when they were at their prime, and Isaac Brock is probably my favorite indie rock vocalist (followed by Will Toledo). This album is great front to back, and marks the point where they changed styles following this record (for the worse most agree).

RYM #4 for 2000
AOTY #10 for 2000 (weak)

The greatest doom metal/stone metal record of all time in my opinion. Dopethrone contains some of the heaviest, most crushing riffs of all time. Funeralopolis is contender for heaviest song of all time. This would probably be my 2nd favorite from 2000 behind Kid A.

Hello, I love your album reviews.
My new EP, a very short one has just released. Will be grateful if you listen and review it. I need honest review, it could be harsh but I want to know what people thinks and how can I improve. There's is some Hindi Lyrics (very few) but the 90% of the album is English. Attaching the AOTY and Spotify link. Will be grateful forever if you respond. 🙏🙏
