This felt like the moment before you finally die. Every memory I had, bad or good, came full circle as I listened to this fantastic album. I've always thought shoegaze is the most powerful genre at least for me because it can both embody celestial and terrestrial spaces. I have been recently bottling up emotions and this was a release for me. Thank you so much Parannoul for this gift of life. Until my death shall come.
For a moment, I caught a glimpse of that feeling when I first heard of a SOPHIE song. Because for what it’s worth the music does sound inspired if not a complete recreation of some old tracks from her. This reminded me so much of How to Dress Well. Interesting dance pop album that doesn't fully get there but guarantees not to waste your time still.
My favorite modern folk artist today. Listened to this on my ride home and felt so relaxed and entranced. Although nothing groundbreaking here, you are presented with music that you can feel and that cares for you.
Drastically different direction in their new album after four years since their last one. Incredibly electric first listen. Some don’t quite work for me but the as a whole, this was such an exquisite return for this band.
Not unlistenable. It’s your typical Americana, singer-songwriter type of album but in some songs you can hear that she’s trying to do something different. Unfortunately, not enough for me to be blown away.
