An odd blur between good intended songs and attempting to fit in with pop girl trends, Emei's 'Scatterbrain'
I discovered this artist randomly, I vaguely remember saving the album a few months ago, saved a few songs that I enjoyed to my 90 hour long playlist and wanted something to do so I am now reviewing this.

Emei comes off as an artist with undeniable musical talent but with nothing to say, every song feels pretty surface level with the except for Dear Emily, the best song on the album and the one with most story to give, even if it lacked in catchy high energy beats, Scatterbrain is also a good and catchy song while being pretty surface level, but it's a surface that isn't as covered by other artists, where songs like Don't Know About The World and Cynical cover the same subject a lot of other ... read more
