Loverboy's self-titled album has aged poorly. There aren't many redeeming qualities about this record. The vocals are fine most of the time, the drumming was probably the highlight, but the instrumentation is pretty inoffensive throughout and doesn't explore anything outside of basic pop rock territory. The only song that would be worth listening to is the closer "It Don't Matter", being the only song that sounds unique with it's chill sax outro. The drumming in particular is very ... read more

Loverboy’s self-titled album is a relatively vanilla collection of 80s rock music that may not have completely stood the test of time, but still has its flashes that have survived to this day.
