It's not bad, they're just not used to SUNMI doing something different than 100% commercial K-POP.

Although Sunmi's ambition is as fiery as ever, STRANGER does not live up to its exciting concept.
The type of eerie left-field pop it tries to emulate does not translate that well. Overall it ends up being a really disjointed song with a B-side that is enjoyable at best.
Too bad the concept is only as good as the song, it had huge potential.
First of all, I don't think it's that bad.
I like the strength of "Calm myself", the instrumental is rather soft and even the build-up isn't that powerful, but the way SUNMI delivers the lines makes the track feel stronger than without her voice.
