As with many artists, as we approach the mid '80s we venture into 'guilty pleasure' territory - 'Caribbean Sunset' (another ridiculous portrait on the sleeve!) is Cale's Tin Machine statement five years before Bowie did it. Yes, this is John playing at being a 'regular John' frontman of a band, just without the rebranding name change like Bowie adopted.
