'Cher' was the singer's comeback after some time off to focus on cinema and these songs know it. They're driven by rock motifs that were riding high on the charts back then. While I feel it's mostly too generic, it undeniably fits her like a glove and her interpretation makes the most of the stories to be told.
Eh. I like Cher as much as the next guy but this album is just a bit too melodramatic and cheesy for me to take seriously.
