‘I’ve Never Been Here Before’ is Erick The Architect reshaping rap’s loyalties and insecurities to identify his truest self – all in an effort to level you with a vignette of art, self-care, and ambition.

I’ve Never Been Here Before is an eccentric entity in that it leaves a highly positive impression once the ensuing silence settles in, even though the presentation has some noticeable disparities.

*insert here something funny about Erick being the Architect (this is so cringe I'm really sorry)

Beef Patty

'I've Never Been Here Before' by Erick the Architect is a pretty decent album, but also a bit of an inconsistent album.

The production on this album is decent, though it doesn't exactly take up focus, so the point that the sounds seem rather subtle. The vocals are the forefront, with some good rapping and vocals on many tracks by Erick. The features here are generally fine, with a good feature coming from Joey Bada$$.

Highlights: Breaking Point, Shook ... read more
