Antiphon

A Youtube recommendation led me to Alfa Mist's second album, Structuralism, a few days ago and having enjoyed that i decided a needed to check out where he came from and how different his debut is.
In my review for Structuralism I made a comparison between the music and the album art, pointing out how well the colour palette matched the tone of the music. I took more than half a year.

@Pipposultavolin suggested me this LP while drinking a beer after his birthday, and I always procrastinated on the listen until today.

I was working on the PC, and this was a pretty good background. The longest tracks are the best ones, and the few spoken parts are pretty poetic, nice.

Some albums don’t ask for your attention; they just wait for it.

Almost like they know they’re not perfect, but don’t need to be. It’s exactly in that space—somewhere between control and chaos—where they become something hard to fully explain, and even harder to ignore.

They don’t hit you all at once. They unfold slowly. And the more time you spend with them, the more they start to make sense—not through thinking, but through feeling.

Weirdly defined my childhood when i stumbled on this album when i was like 11... and i fell in love ... alfa mist holds a place in my heart forever and is alwahs what i look for out of my jazz
