Critic Reviews

100
The Arts Desk
Smart, catchy and ebullient second outing for British pop hip hop duo.
80
AllMusic

Great things happen all over Roaring 20s, an album where the cool kids become the smart kids while losing none of their baller status.

80
The Guardian
Great one-liners tumble out, tunes swagger and, like the debut, the whole thing is irresistible.
80
The Independent

Rizzle dazzle with a fast-talking slice of everyday life.

80
The Telegraph
This a rip-roaring set of smart, catchy hip-hop pop with a swaggeringly confident British flavour.
60
The Observer
Rizzle Kicks are a pair of Brit-school Brighton lads going a long way on their rude-boy charms, making tunes to skank to at the back of the bus with a can of shandy in your hand.
60
Evening Standard
In a bid to shake off their reputation as the PJ & Duncan of the iPad generation, Jordan Stevens and Harley Alexander-Sule (aka Rizzle Kicks) get serious on the follow-up to their platinum-selling debut.
60
Hot Press
Through brassy arrangements, danceable rhythms and plenty of catchy colloquialisms, they’ve come up with a thoughtful, tuneful, light-hearted review of 21st Century twentysomething life.
40
PopMatters

On their second album, Roaring 20s, the youthfulness unfortunately becomes tiring, and drifts more towards immaturity.

40
Clash
At its best, 'Roaring 20s' is clumsy and awkward. At its worst, it’s hectoring and condescending.

I don’t understand the mixed reviews on this album. This is easily one of the most fun and carefree albums i’ve ever heard and every song is amazing in my opinion.
