This KPOP EP brought me back to my obsession with Synth-Infested and City Pop songs in the golden era of the Internet and I love it, every track sounds good enough for them to be stuck on my head.
Although, I'm gonna say that their vocal performances were not that good, and in some parts, became slightly uncomfortable, XX, get them girls a bit more of vocal training and you'll have hit-makers!
Pretty solid for a debut EP in a pretty unknown company, cheers UNICODE!
This is a K-pop group made up entirely of Japanese girls. It is a mini album with a synthesizer sound that brings nostalgia, old K-pop reminiscent of Korean girl groups that sang similar songs that are rarely active now, and a bit of city pop vibes. The overall unified concept isn't bad, but unfortunately you can't enjoy the impressive vocals. As we are all foreigners, there are clear limitations in pronunciation of Korean, so more improvement is needed.
I was underwhelmed. The vibe was cute and I can definitely see them growing as a group, but the whole album just felt incredibly low energy in every sense of the word. Spring in my 20th was my favorite, but it’s not something I’m going to want to listen to more. Generally just very generic production that could’ve been a lot more if they committed harder.
