This is my sexual awakening. Amazing to think that even if this album is 4 years old i've find no other hyperpop project else that replicates it's style, it's charm.
Lil Nas X reemerges as controversial as always an most exaggerated "I'm Back" single. Despite what YouTube shorts might tell you, their isn't any hate towards religion in the song, and even the video. The comparaison to Christ is simply just flexing how his return is making big waves. But I see it as deeper, it could means that, just how like Christ fed the people, Nas X is feeding internet culture by always giving them new things to talk about. We idolize pop figure and celebrity, ... read more
Rivers is a man that wants love but can't even love himself nor his own art. Maladroit isn't just the battle between him and the constant barrage of bashing fans, but between him and the art he makes.
Ever since Pinkerton released, sales and critical receptions have played an important part in how Weezer, and especially Rivers, end up viewing their album. For years, Rivers would just follow the popular opinion and hate on Pinkerton, going back to making hits and simple guitar songs. That's ... read more
This all started because i listened to yeezus to many times.
Can't get enough of this, how long does it take him to make one of these songs. I mean this album is a mess, lots of ambient, electronic, noise and even a happy birthday song. Most songs have the tendencies of changing after 2 minutes and it never makes the record stale. Eventually everything devolves into this chaotic but complex sound. There is no genre for this type of music, i guess it could be called adhd-core with the amout of ... read more
I don't listen to a lot of news stuff cause i still have much of catching up to do, but “Scaring the Hoes” by JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown is soo fucking good man, it's like they made this shit for me. First of all, the production on the album is great, JPEG finds samples from the most obscure places, uses only one machine and manages to make the craziest instrumentals I've heard in my life. You feel like the beats themselves have ADHD, constantly changing and getting crazier. ... read more
This is the first thing i hear from them and now I'm fully noided. This is like listening to chaos, not controlled chaos, but mad stuff happening every single second. This awake the primal instinct and yet is so futuristique. The thing that's great about this album (and dg as a whole), is that it has so many layers to it that you slowly realize with each listen. The loud ass "brrr broom prrr prrr brrrrrrr" production will be the first thing your ears will catch on to but once you get ... read more
I don't know how to write reviews to be honest. It's pop so I'll never be the biggest fan just because of how shallow i feel everything is. Like it's good music, but it could be better so I won't really be coming back to this. Also black sky sounds like something out of Mario Galaxy, best song from the album.
Original Rating : 73
Nahh man i was triping with my last rating. Listened to this one night and i finally got it. This is groovy, catchy and confident. Like she actually gives good advice. This is full of confidence and fun while still being introspective. Also watch the videos she dances soo well. I still don't relate cause i haven't lived trough any of it but she actually goes in depth in her struggles unlike most pop artist who use dumb metaphors and vague lyrics. I need to listen to her ... read more
Dawn FM is my favorite radio station. Sounds a lot tamer than After Hours and I guess it's the point. The Weeknd really is the best at making songs that I can't imagine anyone hating one cause their just good. Yeah, it's a good album.
This is the type of pop I wish my crush would make. This is a great album, starts to get stale in the second part but it's still excellent pop music.
This is what you call a classic, this doesn't feel 2016 at all. also California is a great songs and no one can change my mind.
This album is very overhated, this is music at it must raw. Having no title, no cover make you focus solely on the music. This is a long album despite only being 52 minutes. This is what music sounds like when you break all the rules. The tracks are weird, but their all beautiful in a way. Lyrics are rare but are all powerful. Childish might be rapping, singing or just screaming. It's not perfect, in fact I often felt like some of these tracks were too long or useless. But this is the album ... read more
Sonically this is one of the best albums I ever heard. Just wish Travis Scott could say something more interesting on some of these songs.
