its pretty much just about okay and standard twigs fare that stays enjoyable but kinda just "oh this is a song that is playing"
MF DOOM: 7/7
okay this is EASILY the best MF DOOM project. his extremely technical style blends so perfectly with these outwardly darker and angrier beats/themes. it feels like a final statement that says everything he was hiding or suppressing. pretty amazing album. GAZZILLION EAR is my favorite song of his by a longshot
how are you going to say you're influenced by LCD Soundsystem and have the most bland milquetoast and undanceable dance pop instrumentals since Meghan Trainor
MF DOOM: 6/7
a lot more fun to listen to than a lot of his previous work in this very sample-heavy and more technically focused style. i think its getting closer to something I could spend a few relistens on. picking and choosing your favorite from MM..FOOD is certainly the way to go though.
MF DOOM: 5/7
funny enough, I've enjoyed VV:2 the most so far, the more intense and groovy beats work so well along with the storytelling here. big fan of this one, reminds me of classic 90s hip hop
errrr it passes and its alright and DISAPPOINTING
MF DOOM: 3/7
A pretty hefty step up: the darker and more gloomy atmosphere really goes a long way here.
MF DOOM: 2/7
it's wildly impressive how there is just so much going on in every song he makes. it's just such a trip to listen to, and I can't fully focus. a little better than doomsday, still not something i feel inclined to revisit
MF DOOM: 1/7
not really my cup of tea, but a fun listen.
i haven't really had much to say about albums as of late...
the most transgender albums are those with screaming and way too much distortion. i am so glad i FINALLY got onto orchid
as much as id like to rate higher i really think this isnt quite what it could've been. more inconsistent than i'd like. I'll Change For You is really really good though
