insane tracks all throughout, bop it is my favorite for sure. honestly wasn't expecting this drop, very impressed <3
second part put me in a mental asylum in the best way possible holyyyyy
eerie vocals and some magical minimalist instrumentation leaving room for beautiful textures and emotional songwriting.
that being said, not many songs left much impression on me personally, only a few being resonate enough to be kept in my rotation
after repeatedly returning to this album and with insane remix after remix, I can't deny this album stands as a landmark in not only electronic music but pop music too
one of the most epic blends of genres ive heard in a while. insane instrumentation for even more insane lyrics. and the mixing and mastering on this thing.... omggggggg
this album has changed my life consistently. first it was pure joy growing up in nz and seeing Lorde on the main stage whilst i blasted it out of my little yellow CD player. Then it got me out of a very difficult time during my later teenage years. Next it helped me grow up in a world that seemingly disregarded our generation. Now it takes a different meaning to me. I owe a lot to this album.
this album is still one of my favs even out of my "emo phase", so maybe it wasn't a phase after all mom
i would be nothing if it wasn't for this album. genre defining and now thanks to gen z, perhaps generation defining over 30 years later
for what i thought would be a meme i was surprisingly moved, took a very unique approach to my favorite ambient/ost <3
