Teens of Denial (Family Edition)
Except I’m still going to sing about doing drugs and trying not to piss my pants. SORRY! Wet my pants. That was a close one!
The Rabbit gets a 100/100 from me.
This album sounds gorgeous. So much texture from the layered guitars and ambience that sets the scene so well. Especially the opening track that drops you head first into gloomy atmosphere, added by the really chilling vocals from Micheal Gira. This was a slow one.
The biggest crime for this record is by far those vocals. Holy shit. I never actually realised how bad they are. Those wails that actually sound so painful. I’ve made better noises when trying to cough my guts out. I mean he hits the note. Just that tone of voice is not it.

I could scream that for hours. It’s also nice to see it go from 80 to now 84, 100% deserved and I could possibly see it rising higher.
The rest of the EP though, it’s alright.
I wasn’t majorly fussed by ... read more
