Gareth Coker - Ori and the Will of the Wisps
97

This. Soundtrack. Is. Beyond. Good.
I can't get over just how majestic, peaceful, impactful, and emotional this work of art is. It complements the already fucking incredible and beautiful game with its stunning visuals and moving story. Good lord the amount of effort and talent that went into creating this exquisite 60-course meal does not at all go unnoticed. I could gush about it for hours. My favorite track off this work of art is probably Luma Pools. It's just so..... pretty. I'm in love ... read more

Medasin - RIPPLS

As much as I love some of the bangers in here, I can't bring myself to rate it any higher than an 80. I adore the soundscape Medasin creates in this album and that's always his strong suit. He just loves fucking around with different sounds and you hear that in this step he takes. It's just that some of the songs leave me wanting more. Either a song feels bland with empty space or just isn't that sonically interesting despite having a neat texture. Otherwise, most songs are at least enjoyable ... read more

Chon - Chon

Sometimes I wish this album did more to create a more intense or complicated sound with more niche rhythms and patterns and such. Aside from that, this is a solid album that's nice and chill for the most part and I use it for reading certain manga. It's just a nice, clean auditory landscape to be in.

Chon - Homey
85

In love with most of the songs in this album and can hum back all of them by heart. It's not my favorite album of all time by any means but a good number of the songs have ingrained themselves in my mind with no foreseeable way of getting out. The drums for this album keep me coming back and the catchy guitar riffs. The metric manipulation, instrumentation, and chops just make this album a classic in my library. I just could do without songs like Glitch and Feel This Way
Bangers include ... read more

Kiana Ledé - Selfless
84

Got into Kiana Lede when she dropped this solid project. Production for Kiana has always been a strong suit in most of her songs and this EP showcases a bit of that. Each song has its own voice, whether its heartfelt and relaxed or bitter and bad bitch vibes. We all love and know the classic song Ex by now and it's the keystone of the EP but Take It All now takes my #1 song in this EP after digesting it for as long as its been out.
Also Kiana's vocals are so good all the time. It's raw, real, ... read more

Cordae - The Lost Boy
83

Super solid album. This gave us the highest expectations for the next album lmfao but we still rock with this one heavy. Banger include: Wintertime, Have Mercy, all the skits, RNP, Thousand Words, Family Matters.

Maurice Moore - The Amber Room
77

Decent RnB Album but it can feel cookie cutter sometimes. Bangers include: Little More, Your Man, Thotline, Brave/Time Travelling. Absoluitely love that last one because it's so real and a nice acoustic-feeling departure from the rest of the album.
Bro's vocals are so solid it's nice.

Jeremy Zucker - summer,
90

This is peak Jeremy Zucker
for some reason this is the only project of his I can actually sit through and enjoy every song. This is the one.
It's so tasteful with a beautiful with an excellent use of space and acoustic feel. Production is so clean. Love it.

Xavier Omär - The Everlasting Wave
85

This album hosts my favorite Xavier Omar and helped craft the beginning of my most beloved playlist series. Straight bangers.

Glacier - Temple Inward
87

This project is lowkey a masterclass in production quality. I can imagine myself in some entirely new environment as opposed to just being immersed in a neat soundscape. My personal favorites are Satori, Birch View, and Ubi. I want to learn how to produce from this dude. Swear.

ANH - Preach
83

Each and very song on here is a vibe. Preach and especially Contrast go stupid. Love the soundscape, use of space, uniqueness, and feel in both of these songs. The other songs are solid but they don't match how crazy the first two go.

quickly, quickly - Paths
65

Very normal but not very interesting like Quickly Quickly Vol.1 This is very much just beats to chill to. Unfortunately, with the lack of diversity within each song it can get very repetitive. The songs are short for a good reason. Pick your favorite chill ones from here and add them to your favorite lofi playlist.

quickly, quickly - Quickly Quickly, Vol. 1
85

When I was in my chill beats to study to era, this album was a great find. It still hosts some of my favorite chill/lofi songs to date. They're so well crafted. Solid songs. Can't go wrong at all listening to any of these. I think the only song this album could've gone without is Maserati as it's a completely different kinda vibe despite vaguely being the same style due to the sounds used in the song. It's much more trap edm rather than chill, jazztronica-type beats. Otherwise, this album is so ... read more

Sam Gellaitry - Escapism
75

Yo this soundscape is such an incredible depature from a lot of EDM you usually hear. It's very unique and has that signature older Sam Gellaitry sound that's so good. ironically I think I don't like the far-and-away popular track Long Distance as much as most people. I think HYENA takes the best track on this short project.

RIOT - Dogma Resistance
70

Good lord I wanna be in a live concert/festival setting with some of these songs so bad. Jungle Fury, Blackwater, Aiwa, The Mob, and of course, Overkill are absolute bangers. That's only half the album tho. Technically a bit more back the other half also contains some interludes but it just doesn't get anywhere close to 100% because of the other half being alright.

Xavier Omär & Sango - Moments Spent Loving You
70

I didn't really like the project at the beginning because it always felt odd the way Xavier's vocals were mixed into these super laid-back, empty-space-embracing tracks. But it really did grow on me and I came to appreciate it. Not bad but not incredible. Definitely not my favorite project of his.

San Holo - album1
75

Solid album that I like to throw mixed in to other playlists. Not all the songs are bangers but there are a good amount in here. Show Me, lift me from the ground, love (wip), voices in my head, and vestal avenue are bangers through and through. The other songs were either just good or okay and nothing that crazy.

Intervals - A Voice Within (Instrumental)
85

Funny enough, I do like the album overall more with vocals. I just think that this still goes hard without them.

Intervals - The Shape of Colour
83

Very high-energy album. I don't know how but Slight of Hand has the second to least amount of plays on this album and I can't understand why. It's a banger. All the songs on here are very enjoyable.

Intervals - The Way Forward
80

This album is lowkey what got me into Prog Metal today. I think it was either Rubicon Artist or Impulsively Responsible that piqued my interest and got me to listen to more Intervals. I will say the mix for some songs somehow feels very light? The low end might be cut especially around the kick for the drums and the high end is very much reduced. It just makes the project at times not feel very clear. But that could just be me. A lot of these songs come in for vacation in my head, rent-free.
