Odd Nosdam - Burner
84

his best material out there
fav: all untitled's, 11th ave freakout pt2, clouded

Bark Psychosis - Hex

there's nothing bad I can tell about this album
I am absolutely in love with it

The Smile - Wall of Eyes
83

good stuff
got some really good songs
but I've got problem with Bending Hectic
it's one of those really good songs
but the way it sounds when it gets to that climax, drop
I don't like it
drums hidden somewhere in reverb, bass as well just disappears in stereo
I just don't feel it
I'm sure it sounds heavenly when they perform it live

favs: Wall of Eyes; Friend of a Friend; Bending Hectic; You Know Me!
weakest: I Quit (cool effect though)

Melt-Banana - Fetch
70

fun, hyperactive, sugary noise-rock
at times really impressive and good
but cannot deny the fact that almost every track sounds the same

Ricardo Villalobos - Alcachofa

Easy Lee and Waiworinao are pretty good
didn't enjoy all the other tracks

The Necks - Hanging Gardens
91

just had a relisten session in nature
magnificent band, truly life-inspiring music

Metallica - Kill 'Em All
88

this album rocks!!!
favs - first 3 tracks, anesthesia, seek&destroy, metal militia

Metallica - ...And Justice for All
95

if it sounded better
it would be perfect without a doubt
but still this is my personal fav album from them
this is where lars and kirk peaked

Coil - The Ape of Naples
96

finally got a good reason to relisten this album (recent psychical format reissues)
very dark and depressing work with themes being about death and what goes after it
what surprises me even more is that going up is actually their last song performed live
which also was performed for the first time (and unfortunately the last)
also must notice the sound of a broken bottle at the end of going up
considering how Balance died as well as the fact that he was an alcoholic
and they didn't even manage ... read more

Panopticon - The Rime of Memory

I liked the cover and decided to listen...
impressive performance and very beautiful compositions
but that all doesn't matter when production fundamentally sucks

why does it have to sound so buried?

near to the end I got used to it...
this is really epic and I really enjoyed this

- points for sound ofc

Michael Jackson - Off the Wall
97

undoubtedly better than thriller
where thriller has only a noticeable best in the world 3-track run
this album has banger after banger after banger
truly an classic maybe even an underrated one unfortunately

Slipknot - Iowa
88

lyrics of an angsty inner teenager but with the heaviest sound ever
Album that probably changed my life and inspired me musically so much in the past and opened the gates for me of heavier music and still I can't name that many albums that are heavier than this
Comparing this with any black or death metal release
man... most of them sound like teenager being tickled or dog whining
Of course there are exceptions
and this one as well is an exception
Not quite nu metal, not quite death metal or ... read more

Robert Wyatt - Shleep

Каждая песня ... read more

Ken Carson - A Great Chaos

18 tracks is too much for such genre
Would have been lower but there are plenty of good beats

Alva Noto - HYbr:ID II

This will be my favorite 2023 winter album I can already say that with confidence
Listening to this feels like being very far away from home

MIKE - Burning Desire
82

Basically (almost) vapor with tha rapping
I'll tell you what folks this is bloody nice
There's more singing from what I remember in comparison with previous projects
And a lot of flawless transitions between tracks
Lot of lovely tracks like let's have a ball or what u say u are
Or zap! with that confusing sample chop that somehow works
Or u think maybe? with that really smooth saxophone solo playing at the end
Really nice 50 minute album with a lot of things going on

Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters
95

It's time to finally say it - I really do enjoy listening to this record. There's no shame in that. It's fun as hell and I like fun music. it's just a thought in my head that this is like the peak of genre. Most grooviest, most funkiest. Very accessible record in comparison with Sextant or with what Miles Davis did at the time. 4 banger tracks, no weak ones. All beautifully performed.

Liturgy - 93696
90

Still stands as my favorite album of 2023. So good that I borrowed CD. This is what really avant garde sounds like. Whole another sound and vision. Though liturgy has been around for while, this is first album I've listened from them. Many people don't like that album lasts so long. IDK but me... I was sucked into this in a trance-like state of mind and kept my interest till the last track
