I'm happy KKB aren't resting on their laurels and just trying to make Bonito Genration 2, especially liking the new rock and power pop influences. But with the new tone shift, due to the new subject matter going from the childlike innocence of Bonito Generation to learning the terrors of actually growing up in Time 'n' Place, it's hard hard to recapture the pure fun of listening to Bonito Gen. However that doesn't mean Make Believe and Time Today aren't bangers.

The title of the album is fitting. With the beats sounding like the last sputterings of the burning engine before the hitting the ground, and the rapping the monotonous complaints of a man past his prime as his life flashes past his eyes, seconds before committing career suicide. If my shitty level 1 creative writing skills weren't up to scratch; TLDR this album's a plane wreck.
