Solid slacker rock affair from Jane here. Play My Guitar is one of her weakest songs ever tho. Every other song on this album is pretty cool. Favs are def Dead Forever, Famous Girl, and Something has to Change. A cathartic, sad listen, but hey, that's what you need sometimes.
Music in its truest and most primal form. Music that speaks directly to the soul, that torments and scares the soul. I'm left with goosebumps all over every time I listen to the outro of Good Morning Captain and complete this record. And I've heard this album a million times. Music so visceral and daunting that it evokes something beyond emotion - a strain of existential dread and beauty beyond words.
brat. It's brat. girl so confusing lowk a skip tho. club classics also sometimes a skip. Every other song is pheeewwwwwwwww so frickin good. my top 3 is apple, mean girls, and rewind.
Look Down on Us and Born to Die are handily two of the best songs of 2025. Bloodsport is one of the catchiest songs of the year. That 'Complicit Crossfire, No Vision, Live Wire' hook goes so unbelievably hard. Saoirse is beautiful. Break the Tension and Trenches also go stupid. The record does lose a bit of steam toward the end, as I do feel like these final two cuts recycle many of the same musical ideas and motifs that the first 6 tracks have already hammered home. Still, Maruja ... read more
Awesome album. It's scary how nostalgic this album feels. In spite of all the noise and glitchiness, this album feels incredibly intimate. Only song I dislike is the intro. The production feels super bland compared to how detailed and vivid the production is throughout the rest of this record. Only other slight issue I have with this record is that some of the singing is a bit weak. The singing is really at its weakest on the intro and the second half of Let's Go Home. I do think ... read more
The chemistry between these two, the bars, the Pharrell beats, everything is off the charts with this record. Best song is defo P.O.V., although my personal favourite is Mike Tyson, which was my second most listened to song of 2025. I do however believe EBITDA is a weaker cut compared to the rest of these songs, maybe a 6 or 7 out of 10. I also do find Pharrell’s singing kind of annoying on the closing track of this album, but that’s where my complaints end with this album. Clipse ... read more
Something greater than rap and music itself. A juggernaut of a jazz rap album. Kendrick really the goat for real.
Super versatile, immersive and idyllic. Flawless indie folk and chamber folk record. One of the best flows from track to track of any album of the 2010s as well. A perfect or 10/10 album in every sense of the way.
One of the best concept albums of the decade. Every song is unique and brings something special to the table, bangers and deep cuts alike. Tyler’s magnum opus for a reason.
First four songs are solid, but the momentum these tracks generate is immediately ended with Ran to Atlanta. The album hits a pretty massive lull after this point until we get to What did I Miss, which was a decent single in the lead up to this record. Only other decent song on this record is 2 Hard 4 The Radio. Drake actually sounds like he’s having fun on this track. Every song past this one is also mid or painfully boring.
An album capable of moving both heaven and earth — vast, transcendent, and awe-inspiring in its power.
