not good but im tryna boost the rating to 50
also the name is very good
Though not for me, I can appreciate some good instrumental music when I hear it.
Though a little strange on first listen, The Line is a beautifully devastating track with really good production and a raw feel. My only gripe is that it feels a little tame compared to what the pilots have been doing recently, but I understand that it was made for arcane, not for their own album.
Not bad, pilots. Not bad.
Original Rating: GNX feels like lamar is trying and failing recreate the success of not like us for 12 songs. The production is lackluster, and a couple songs were honestly skips for me. Gloria and Wacced out murals were my favorite tracks, but as of right now, I'm not comfortable putting this above a 6. I know y'all are very defensive of your kendrick so I'll give it a 68.
Revised Rating: Perhaps I was too harsh on this album. It's actually grown on me quite a bit.
This is one of BWU's better projects? I think? On first listen, it comes off kinda whiny, the lyrics are lackluster, and the songwriting is not interesting. Isn't love lost just an evergreen copy?
that being said it has some good moments
"everybody tweaking i just want to sleep all day

nah for real though the new verse about the shifting eyes is fire
I like bruno but this really bothers me.
the most annoying part is how in the bridge they couldnt come up with any more creative lyrics than "yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah"
Though Vessel doesn't show anywhere near the Pilots' peak of songwriting, singing, or lyricism, it is a solid record that is consistent and, at times, really good. Highlights include HOTY and Fake You Out.
What I like a lot about this record is it isn't trying as hard to be different and special like Blurryface.
This is the hardest time I think I've ever had writing a review.
Most of the time, this album absolutely beautiful and some of the best flows of the entire year. Tracks like Darling, I, Tomorrow, and IHYFYWH are very clear standouts with amazing layering and some of Tyler's best writing of his entire career. I love the story told here and the little snippits of his mother throughout the songs.
However, that being said, there are a couple songs, especially in the middle, that really ... read more
Though it's kinda hit-or-miss, BSATNW has actually grown on me a lot. It's a solid summer album.
