I'm no stranger to System of a Down. In fact, I'd say they have been my first true introduction to metal when I was so little my mother would probably have a heart attack if she knew what kind of music my dad was playing me. Later I introduced my best friend to 'Toxicity' and we've both been hooked for over 20 years now. Just last week I scored us tickets to their show next summer. Dreams do come true.
All this to say, before today I could not tell you how half of this ... read more
Ah, yes, this is it. I've been following EDEN's carieer since 'i think you think too much of me' so for almost 10 years now and I think he's finally reached his full potential with 'Dark'. It feels more mature and finished than his earlier works. It's interesting and fresh without straying too far from EDEN's distinct sound. I must say, part of me was really surprised. Black Sabbath wasn't on my list of bands to review for the next few months but regardless, today I'll be looking at the myth, the legend himself. Ozzy Osbourne might be gone but he will never be forgotten.
'Vol. 4' may seem like an odd choice for this, considering it's nowhere near as legendary as 'Paranoid' or 'Black Sabbath' which I also love but this album is special to me.
I've been introduced to metal by my father at a very young age, the ... read more
'Discovery' is yet another great album from Electric Light Orchestra. It's full of upbeat tunes and it might just be the most energetic out of all the records of theirs I have rated so far. Okay, yeah, it definitely is, it'd be hard to not give it the title when Don't Bring Me Down is here. What a way to close an album, am I right?
When it comes to memories connected to this one, it's mainly from karaoke nights since Don't Bring Me Down is part of the ... read more
