Fucking phenomenal band. I saw them play in Cannes lately with my gf. Was afraid she wouldn’t like the music, but she ended up buying a tshirt, 2 cassettes and 1 CD.
As much as I love the music I gotta take some points off because I am not a fan of the artwork. At all.
Edit: Ok the artwork kinda grew on me but the rating remains the same.
Absolute lot of bangers, but I like the sound of “Estate Of Intent” more
Ok DAMN there was definitely improvement between the two releases. This is a lot more polished and just sounds overall better. Again I see myself in this because this reminds me of soundtracks (and soundtracks inspired me a lot!)
Overall FREAKING FIRE!
Ok I see why people say the album is a letdown but honestly I enjoyed it quite a lot. It‘s maybe not his best release and is a bit blander than his previous albums, it‘s still not that bad
Idk how I missed reviewing this one.

I’ve told this to other people but after I finished recording ShitNoise’s last two records, I realised that it just sounds like some teenage maximalistic project that concentrated on quality over quantity. With my future projects (either with ShitNoise or anything else) I’ll be taking my time in actually making quality music.

"Thanks for the review! Yeah I agree that album is very long, the vocals could use some work and that it was quite rushed. Since I finished recording I Cocked My Gun (the previous album) and this one, I’ve been slowly realizing that ShitNoise (and just my music overall) just ended up presenting itself as a teenage-maximalistic project and has been doing quantity over quality. I’m actually working on a new project where I’m actually gonna spend more time on better material (quality wise).

"If you want an AM album without vocals, I recommend "Red Cross" (2023) and "Aleksejs Macions" (2023)
If you want an AM album with vocals (but again, I'm not a pro, and I take singing lessons), I recommend "Never" (it's messy but I guess it's just a sort of allegory to intrusive thoughts)
